hi, I’m Kara

I’m a lifestyle photographer. I love documenting the candid and raw - you could say - the real in our beautiful lives. I love capturing interaction, emotion, and the very ties that bind us to what, and whom, we love most. I am so honored to work with so many precious families who choose me to document each big life event and grow right alongside them.

I love all things photography, design, and do-it-yourself. I’m an animal lover, and for years my Instagram pretty much served a public dedication to my dogs.

I am married to my best friend and I have a hilarious, curious 9-year-old who keeps me active and always laughing, and an almost-2-year-old baby girl who we’re all obsessed with! We are learning ASL as a family as our daughter is Hard of Hearing and we’re so amazed at how much she’s expanded our world. Life has never been so sweet!

I went to school for social work (Go Blue!) and followed my passion for photography and design. I’ve been shooting professionally for 15 years - what?! I am constantly inspired to blend advocacy and activism with art. I can’t wait to meet you.
